Arriving, continued
... anyway, so the first night I arrived, I stayed in the hostel and woke up late... probably about 12. I made my way to the travel agency the next day. There, I booked a hiking tour to Machu Picchu. I also booked the bus rides from Lima to Cuzco and from Cuzco to Puno (near lake Titicaca).
Anyway, Lima is really hot. It is a real shock coming from Canadian winter temperatures to middle-of-the-summer temperatures. Today, it´s probably about 30 degrees Celcius.
Last night, I met some really decent people from England named Wayne and Alice. They invited me to go to another hostel with them for some drinks. I ended up staying until 3 am. This morning, I was hurting.
Now, I´m waiting to go out for some cervechas (I think that´s what it´s called - it´s raw fish with lime) with a woman I met last night. She showed up and said she´d be back in 10 minutes, but no show so far - it´s been maybe 90 minutes. So now, I´m off to see the beach, get some food, and maybe take some pictures!
